Role Of Bankruptcy Administrators
Federal employees in two states who are responsible for supervising
the administration of bankruptcy cases, estates, and trustees. In all
other states, the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee, normally through local private
attorneys retained to act as assistant trustees, perform administration duties.
The difference in actual function is small, and the rules applicable in
all chapters are largely unaffected in typical consumer cases. In large
corporate cases, the rule variations quickly become complex and require
the assistance of an attorney specializing in reorganizations.
