The application of Idaho bankruptcy laws applies specifically to
exemptions filed with the clerk. Personal property items, including
cars, boats, and other transportation requiring registered title are
easy to verify. Other personal property items - those with public record
of ownership - are particularly susceptible to suspicion when high
values are likely. Jewelry, gold, high end consumer appliances, and many
other purchases appear on credit card statements and may be found with
cooperation of creditors and trustees. When claiming Idaho bankruptcy
exemptions, be aware that Idaho bankruptcy courts may dismiss any case
upon a finding of intentional omission of property.
