The interim trustee is rarely replaced in Chapter 7 consumer cases.
But be aware, if creditors representing more than 20% of total debts
vote to replace the temporary trustee, a creditor may become the acting
trustee. In this circumstance, the creditor assumes broad authority to
control case administration, collect assets, and object to discharge.
An election of an alternate trustee in Chapter 7 cases would occur
during a vote demanded during the 341 meeting of the creditors.
