As a prerequisite for dismissal of any Chapter 7 case, the court must
provide written notice to the debtor. Cases may only be dismissed for
cause, and require each debtor be afforded an opportunity to be heard.
Creditors may also files motions objecting to any aspect of a file, and
request the court schedule a hearing. The most common reason that
Chapter 7 cases are dismissed relates to forms and schedules, or more
specifically, the failure to file all forms in a proper format. An
entire set of conforming schedules and forms is essential, including
format requirements relating to computer files.
